Usually, the growth and life of a band is judged by the length of their shows and albums list. Anwynn was born in January 2007. A fresh young Heavy
Metal band with a female vocalist. Since their first live shows in early 2008, the band has recorded a demo CD called "Behind the Veil", a four song support that showed,
last year, how strong and powerful the band was in his first era. The band also hit the stage many times in Belgium playing in different famous places in their home
country. A promising start !
Today, the band has gained in energy, especially when they play live ! One thing seems to be obvious : Anwynn has entertainment qualities ! The music has become more
melodic, putting the lead singer more up front than in the past. The last songs are more built around the mezzo-soprano voice of Amandine (lead vocals), arrived in the
band in spring 2007. We can hear on "Behind The Veil" that the Heavy Metal style was everywhere - probably too much - due to the fact that Laurent (creator of the band,
guitar, backing vocals) was the only writer at the moment. When Vincent (bass) came in the band in February 2007, he began (slowly !) to write songs on his own with his
personal influences. Vincent is also the guy that doesn't hesitate to cut in the songs and put some other stuff in it ! Which gives to a song a certain diversity,
enthusiasm and originality.

How it started
Power and force !
Well, the band has Frederic behind the drums ! He's the guy that hits hard and fast. Without him, there's no hard stuff on the drums. Together with
Laurent, he's also the creator of the band as he knew and played with Laurent years before Anwynn. Unfortunately, Frederic left us this summer for personal reasons but
keeping a very good relationship with us.
Melodies
To gain in melody, the band had two choices : add a keyboard or add a second guitar. Vladimir (keyboard) came in the band in March 2008 and brought
more melody in the new songs.
Helping hands.
Anwynn wouldn't be here today without the helping hands of musician friends that played with us in the last years. Mathias (also a long time friend of
Laurent and Frederic before the existence of Anwynn) was the former second guitar player in the band. He left the band in 2008 for professional reasons. Jeremy helped us
in the first part of 2009 by replacing Mathias. We had great gigs together. Thank you, guys !
